Follow up appointments are scheduled during the middle, end and 4 weeks after treatment.

Assessment - Discharge

If not suitable for TMS, we can discuss alternative treatment options.

If you are not suitable for TMS, the psychiatrist can discuss alternative treatment options (if you don’t already have a psychiatrist).

If you aren’t suitable for TMS and are discharged back to the GP, you will only incur the above one-off fee. 

If you have significant financial hardship and unable to afford psychiatrist’s gap fee, please call us to discuss options.

Medicare Elibility Criteria

To be eligible for MBS-Funded rTMS treatment, a patient must meet the following criteria:

1. Be at least 18 years of age

2. Be diagnosed with Major Depressive Episode

3. Have failed to receive satisfactory improvement for the Major Depressive Episode despite the adequate trialling of at least two different classes of anti-depressant medications, unless contraindicated.

4. Have also undertaken psychological therapy unless inappropriate; and

5. Have not received rTMS treatment previously in either a public or private setting.

WorkCover

TMS is usually approved if you are currently under a WorkCover claim.

Health Funds

Funding can be accessed via selected insurance providers. Please enquire with your health fund. 

Our friendly team are happy to assist in liaison with your insurance provider.

Financial Assistance

Subsidised fees are available for those who received Aged Pension, Disability Support Pension and/or are experiencing financial hardship.

Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)

TMS is usually approved if you hold a DVA Health Card.
